1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create or use a Barbell Pocket account, we may process information such as your email address, internal user or account identifiers, authentication records, and information needed to maintain your account and synchronize your data.

In your profile you may also choose to add a name, which the app uses to greet you, and your sex. Both are optional, and you can change or clear them in Settings. We also store your units preference (lb or kg).

Barbell Pocket does not need your payment-card number to provide an Apple in-app subscription. Apple handles payment processing for App Store purchases.

Training and Workout Information

Information you choose to record in Barbell Pocket may include:

• exercises, custom exercises, and workout templates and folders;
• workout dates and duration;
• sets;
• weight;
• repetitions;
• RPE and other training fields you enable, such as time, distance, or tempo, and any custom fields you create;
• completion status;
• workout, exercise, and template notes, including notes you pin to an exercise;
• personal records; and
• other information you intentionally enter as part of your training history.

Fitness and Body-Metric Information

If you choose to record it, Barbell Pocket may process information such as:

• bodyweight;
• waist measurements;
• average heart rate, if you enter it for a set;
• calories as displayed by an exercise machine, if you enter them for a set; and
• other fitness or body measurements supported by the application.

Barbell Pocket does not read data from Apple Health, a watch, or any sensor. Every fitness and health value in the app is one you enter yourself.

Barbell Pocket also calculates information from your training data in order to provide features such as estimated one-repetition maximum, volume, workout frequency, consistency, progress trends, strength trends, and Lifting Intel relationships.

These calculated values are derived from information you provide through your use of the Service.

Subscription and Purchase Information

If you subscribe to a paid Barbell Pocket offering, we may receive or process information concerning your subscription and entitlement status, the product or plan associated with the subscription, transaction or receipt identifiers, renewal or expiration information, and related purchase history.

Apple processes App Store purchases.

Barbell Pocket uses RevenueCat to validate purchases and manage subscription entitlements. RevenueCat may process an application user identifier, device or operating-system information, Apple receipt information, subscription activity, and related transaction information as necessary to provide those services.

Barbell Pocket does not receive your full payment-card information from Apple.

Support, Bug Report, and Beta Feedback Information

If you contact us, send a bug report, or submit beta feedback, we may receive the information you choose to provide, including your message, reproduction steps, comments, screenshots, or other attachments.

A Barbell Pocket bug report may also include technical information useful for diagnosing the issue, such as:

• application version and build;
• iOS version;
• device model;
• subscription tier or entitlement status;
• an internal user identifier; and
• the date and time of the report.

A bug report does not include your workouts, exercises, bodyweight, templates, or email address.

When Barbell Pocket is distributed through Apple TestFlight, Apple may also provide beta-related information such as build information, device and operating-system information, session or crash information, crash logs, and feedback information you submit through TestFlight.

Website Information

When you visit barbellpocket.com, Barbell Pocket does not use advertising trackers, ad pixels, third-party analytics, or marketing cookies to track your activity. The website has no account login, contact form, newsletter sign-up, or beta registration form, and it does not request your location, camera, or microphone or collect your browsing history.

Our hosting provider may automatically process limited technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, device and operating-system information, the pages you request, request timestamps, and basic network request information, as necessary to deliver, secure, and operate the website. We do not use this information for advertising, profiling, or tracking.

Information We Do Not Collect

Barbell Pocket does not access your location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone. It does not use advertising identifiers, does not include advertising or third-party analytics services, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

2. How We Collect Information

We obtain information:

• directly from you when you create an account, enter training or body-metric information, contact us, or submit feedback;
• automatically from your use of Barbell Pocket when information is necessary to provide app functionality, synchronization, security, diagnostics, or subscription features;
• from Apple in connection with App Store purchases, TestFlight distribution, beta feedback, and diagnostics; and
• from service providers acting on our behalf, such as our authentication, cloud-storage, database, and subscription infrastructure.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• create, authenticate, and maintain Barbell Pocket accounts;
• save and synchronize workouts and user-selected fitness data;
• provide workout logging, History, Dashboard, progress, and Lifting Intel features;
• calculate training statistics and relationships requested as part of the Service;
• maintain subscription and entitlement status;
• respond to support requests and investigate reported bugs;
• diagnose crashes and technical problems;
• protect the security and integrity of the Service;
• maintain and improve Barbell Pocket; and
• comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not use your personal training data for third-party behavioral advertising.

4. Service Providers and Disclosure of Information

We do not sell your personal information.

We do not sell consumer health data.

We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

We use a limited number of service providers to operate Barbell Pocket. These providers may process information only as needed to perform services for us and subject to their applicable contractual and legal obligations. We require service providers that process personal information on our behalf to provide the same or equivalent protection for that information as described in this Privacy Policy and as required by applicable law.

Current primary service providers include:

Supabase

Barbell Pocket uses Supabase for services including authentication, database infrastructure, and cloud synchronization. Workout history, account information, and fitness or body-metric information stored in the cloud may therefore be processed through Supabase infrastructure in order to provide Barbell Pocket to you.

RevenueCat

Barbell Pocket uses RevenueCat to manage and validate subscription status and entitlements. RevenueCat processes subscription and purchase-related information and identifiers needed to perform this function.

Barbell Pocket does not intentionally provide your workout history, bodyweight, or waist measurements to RevenueCat for advertising purposes.

Apple

Apple provides App Store purchasing and TestFlight distribution. Apple may process purchase information, tester information, app diagnostics, crash information, or feedback according to Apple's own services and privacy practices.

If you choose to attach a screenshot or other content to TestFlight feedback, that content may include information visible on your screen.

Website Infrastructure

The provider hosting the Barbell Pocket website may process technical request information as necessary to deliver, secure, and operate the website, as described under “Website Information” above.

We may also disclose information if reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, protect users or the Service, investigate fraud or abuse, or respond to a valid legal process.

5. Consumer Health Data

Some information you record in Barbell Pocket, such as bodyweight, body measurements, heart rate, and workout history, may be considered consumer health data under applicable privacy laws.

Our Consumer Health Data Notice explains which information that covers, where it comes from, why we process it, who processes it for us, and how to exercise your rights over it.

We do not sell consumer health data, and we do not use it for behavioral advertising.

6. Data Retention and Deletion

Account, workout, and body-metric information is generally retained while your account remains active and for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service.

When an account deletion request is completed, we will delete or de-identify personal information under our control associated with the account unless retention is required or permitted for a legitimate legal, security, fraud-prevention, accounting, or similar obligation.

Where applicable, we will also instruct processors handling the relevant data on our behalf to honor the deletion request.

Information contained in backup or archival systems may remain temporarily until the applicable backup is rotated, restored, or deleted, subject to applicable law.

Purchase or transaction records may also be retained by Apple, RevenueCat, or other providers under their own legal and operational retention requirements.

Support messages, bug reports, and associated diagnostic information are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to investigate, resolve, document, or prevent relevant technical or support issues.

Deleting Your Account

You can permanently delete your Barbell Pocket account from within the app: open Settings and choose Delete Account, then confirm. When deletion completes:

• your Barbell Pocket account is deleted, and its email and password can no longer be used to sign in;
• your workouts, templates, bodyweight history, custom exercises, notes, profile, bug reports, and other Barbell Pocket data stored on our servers are deleted;
• the app removes that account's data from your device, signs you out, and returns you to the sign-in screen; and
• we send a request to RevenueCat to delete the customer record associated with your account.

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. Deleted data is not restored and does not reappear if you later create a new account.

RevenueCat processes deletion requests on its own schedule, so its copy of your subscription record may be removed some time after you delete your account rather than at that exact moment. Backups, and records Apple or RevenueCat keep for their own legal or accounting purposes, are handled as described above.

Deleting your Barbell Pocket account does not cancel an Apple App Store subscription. Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple; you can cancel yours in your Apple ID settings, before or after deleting your account.

7. Your Choices

You can choose which optional workout notes and body measurements you enter into Barbell Pocket.

You may view or change supported information using the controls available within the application.

You may also contact us to ask questions about your data or request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.

Deleting the application from your device does not delete information stored in your Barbell Pocket cloud account. To delete your account and its data, use Delete Account in Settings (see Data Retention and Deletion) or contact us.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

These measures include access controls and protected transmission of data where appropriate.

No online service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. Children

Barbell Pocket is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to Barbell Pocket inappropriately, contact us so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. California Online Privacy and Tracking Disclosure

Barbell Pocket does not currently sell personal information or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.

The Barbell Pocket website is not intended to use third-party behavioral-advertising trackers.

Because Barbell Pocket does not currently use browser activity for behavioral advertising, a browser “Do Not Track” signal does not cause a separate advertising-tracking opt-out process within the Service.

If our tracking or advertising practices materially change, we will update this Policy and implement any choices required by applicable law.

Users may contact us using the information below to ask about information associated with them or request correction or deletion where applicable.

11. TestFlight

Beta versions of Barbell Pocket may be distributed through Apple TestFlight.

Apple operates TestFlight and may provide developers with information about beta usage, devices, crashes, and tester feedback.

Feedback you voluntarily submit through TestFlight may include screenshots, written comments, crash information, or technical information associated with the beta build.

Apple's own privacy terms apply to Apple's processing of information through TestFlight.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Barbell Pocket changes.

When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above.

If a change materially expands the categories of consumer health data we collect or materially changes the purposes for which we collect, use, or share that information, we will provide any additional notice or obtain any consent required by applicable law before applying that new practice.
